The Agent Awareness module of QueueMetrics is finally out of beta and available as a separate purchase - and you get a 50% discount if you purcahse it within December 2009!
The AGAW module lets your agent see the queue statistics, be informed in real-time to what is going on and start chat sessions with their supervisors. It is meant for large-scale distribuited call-centers where a high, real-time awareness of goals and targets is needed. It embeds into the Firefox browser and does not disrupt web-based CRM / form filling by the agent.
For further information on the AGAW module, see the QueueMetrics User Manual.

2008-06-21:Summer Break 2008
Loway's offices will be closed during the Summer Break, that will be from July 5th to July 20th, 2008. We will do no custom developement during this period and all calls will go to voicemail. :)
We will be only running a support line by email for getting temporary licences, general commercial questions and technical support for installation and running systems. See
Contact us page for email details.
Also, the
QueueMetrics forums will stay open for self-support, so you can post your questions and problems.
2008-06-07:Beta release of queueDial substitute
In order to track outbound calls in QueueMetrics, the queueDial.agi script was needed. This was complex for first-time users to set up, it was slow as a new process had to be forked for every call made and was complex to debug. Outbound calls would with invalid connection times on the realtime screen. Also, this caused a number of problems with Asterisk 1.4 and newer versions.
We decided to replace the queueDial.agi completely with a pure-scripting solution; this is still experimental but is being used in a number of call-centers worldwide and it seems to work just fine. It addresses all problems that plagued the old AGI script and was built from the start to be easy to configure.
Though it will be released officially with QM 1.4.5, beta code is available on the forums. We thank in advance all QM users who will want to run a test of the new code and report any problems they come across.

The new offer adds a new 100-agent size that is meant to be a cheaper alternative for call centers over 50 agents who would have previously bought an unlimited licence. It also adds the new clustering licences for larger call-centers.
We added "Priority Support" as a purchaseable option, making it possible to have a priority-level support line available directly from us.
We also changed the way licence upgrade prices are calculated; their price will be lower if the licence being upgraded has closer expiration date.
You can find the new price list on the Licence Page.
2007-09-16:New tutorial: "Understading MySQL storage and clustering"
As this is a major point of misunderstanding when dealing with a new QueueMetrics installation, we creted a tutorial that explains step-by-step how to set up QueueMetrics in order to make use of the MySQL storage model and of clustering, as well.
The tutorial is called "Understading MySQL storage and clustering" and is immediately available for download on the downloads page, under "Misc Documentation" by the bottom of the page.

2007-07-29:Turning TrixBox into a small call center with QueueMetrics
After the good success of our first tutorial that explained how to set up QueueMetrics for TrixBox 1.0, we have prepared an upgraded version for TrixBox verion 2 and QueueMetrics 1.4.
This tutorial makes it much easier than with version 1.x to set up QueueMetrics under TrixBox, minimizes manual file editing and shows how to set up the most advanced fetaures of QueueMetrics, i.e. agents logging on and pausing from the GUI, marking of call outcomes and pause status codes, and Manager API realtime monitoring.
Whether you run a full-fledged commercial call-center, or would simply gather some stats for an internal support line, the new tutorial is definitely worth looking at!
You can find the new tutorial on the downloads page under "TrixBox / FreePBX documentation", by the bottom of the page.

2007-04-18:QueueMetrics 1.3.4 released today
Today we release QueueMetrics 1.3.4. This release offers experimental realtime monitoring using the Manager API, that can be run for a single server or a cluster of servers. See
this article for more information. This implementation is experimental, so it is not meant to be used in production environments.
This release also adds a bit of functionality and fixes a number of bugs that were present in 1.3.2, and notably:
- EXPERIMENTAL realtime cluster support. This feature lets you poll a set of Asterisk server through the Manager API and create and unified view of their queue subsystem, as you usually do with QueueMetrics. (#75)
- The cluster support now tracks correcly outbound queues as well by using the updated queueDial.agi script (#76)
- A raw set of all calls processed and agent session can now be extracted through the XML-RPC interface. The Query URL is extracted as well. (#78)
- By popular demand, the length of the hourly call breakdown can be changed to any other interval, e.g. 30 minutes, 15 minutes, etc. (#79)
- A bug was fixed that made agents appear as UNK on the realtime page - it was introduced in 1.3.0 (#90)
You can download the latest version immediately from the downloads page, together with the 98-page User manual. As an alternative, if you run RHEL/CentOS/TrixBox/AAH, you can install it automatically using yum - see the installation page.

2007-03-15:Usa/Canada DST problems
A number of users are reporting problems with QueueMetrics being one hour off after DST came into effect into the USA on March 11, 2007. This is caused by problems with the Java VM running QueueMetrics.
WHICH USERS ARE AFFECTED?
This problem may be affecting you if your company, your servers or your call centers are located in either USA, Canada or another country or region which sets DST according to USA standards.
HOW DO I KNOW IF I AM AFFECTED?
You will notice that since March 11 your QueueMetrics reports seem to be one hour off. You may also notice problems in the realtime pages.
This problem does not seem to affect everyone living in involved regions, likely because of the different JVMs used to run QueueMetrics and/or the way the clock is set on the server (as local time versus GMT).
We have created a forum topic to suggest a solution and keep you posted of how the problem is being addressed. You will find it at http://forum.queuemetrics.com/index.php?topic=10.0.
Please keep us posted if you encounter this problem or not, which versions of Java you are running and if you installed QueueMetrics manually or using yum.
2007-03-08:New forum
We have created an online forum to get help on QueueMetrics, exchange experiences and opinions on the product and get help from other users.
The forum is available at http://forum.queuemetrics.com
The forum is a new opportunity but it's not meant to replace direct e-mail support for our clients and prospects. Feel free to contact us by e-mail or telephone if you prefer doing so.
2007-02-21:QueueMetrics 1.3.3 released today
Today we release QueueMetrics 1.3.3. This feature is experimental, i.e. not production-ready, but we'd like you to try it and let us know how it is going. More information here:
http://astrecipes.net/index.php?n=244.
This release also adds a bit of functionality and fixes a number of bugs that were present in 1.3.2, and notably:
- New data base inspector tool. If you run MySQL storage, you'll see a new label "Mysql storage information" reporting on the different queues and partitions present.
- By popular demand, showing the detail of the queue definition van be turned on or off using the "default.showQueueComposition" configuration parameter
- Fixed a problem where UTF-8 input would not be correctly read
- Fixed a problem with UTF-8 encoding of the wallboard
- Fixed a problem with UTF-8 encoding of the soutrce JSP pages that would not work on some app servers
- Fixed a bug with duplicate sesions being shown on very weird log data (#32)
- Fixed a bug to delete stale data from the session cache (#36)
You can download the latest version immediately from the downloads page, together with the 98-page User manual. As an alternative, if you run RHEL/CentOS/TrixBox/AAH, you can install it automatically using yum - see the installation page.

2006-11-22:Qloader 1.2 released today
Today we release Qloader 1.2. This is a new version of our MySQL upload script thought for better and safer integration over the old
queueLoader script, and offers a number of advantages over the older version:
- qloader is designed to be a one-stop solution to upload data. No need for tail or custom startup scripts.
- qloader is able to upload only data that is missing from the given partition, by checking the timestamp and the row's contents in order to prevent duplicate rows. This way you every time it is started, it will update the MySQL table with all data that is missing from it and then will start tailing the queue_log file for variations.
- In the case of a database problem or a disconnection, qloader will keep retrying to connect to the database until it succeeds. No data is lost if the database goes offline for a while.
- qloader will automatically detect invalid queue_log lines and will skip them immediately
- qloader keeps a detailed log of all its activity
- qloader can be installed as a service using a simple startup script
We offer sample startup scripts for RHEL and other Linux systems.
You can download the latest version immediately from the downloads page. As an alternative, if you run RHEL/CentOS/TrixBox/AAH, you can install it automatically using yum - see the installation page.

2006-08-22:New MySQL loader: qloader
We provide an experimental script that can be used instead of the queueLoader script in order to send queue_log data to a MySQL database. Its main advantages are:
- No need for a separate tail command
- Intelligent uploading of only missing rows (no risk to duplicate queue_log data by running it twice)
- Much improved error handling
- Installable as a system service
At the moment this software is experimental - we are waiting for your comments and your experiences. We recommend it to experienced QueueMetrics user who are already running a MySQL backend. Installation instructions are in the Zip archive.

Here is a complete list of updates::
- Bug fix: the "Show members only" button was not working in 1.2.0
- Queue names are decoded correctly in the "Answered calls detail" and "Unanswered calls detail" pages
- Easier editor mode: when clicking on "edit", the page scrolls down to the editor
- Enlarged space for queue definitions.
- Queue name decoding fixed in the Unanswered calls by Queue graph and in the agent attempts by queue graph
- Better layout of sortable columns un tables. Up and down arrows are not inverted anymore.
- Call/session detail pages now have the standard, richer header of all other pages.
- Time zone offsets are now full -24/+24 hours
- There is now a property to set the default time zone offset
- It is now possible to reject anomalous calls, i.e. calls where the Asterisk logging went wrong for some reason and are left dangling, forever open. A couple of new properties control the maximum allowed wait and talk time for calls to be considered open. Note: this does not affect calls that are logged correctly, no matter what their length may be.
- It is now possible to ignore QUEUESTART events altogether via a configuration option.
- Improved viewing in IE6 and Firefox.
- Location code now visible in Custom Report
- New feature: auto-scrolling wallboard.
You can download the latest version immediately from the downloads page. The database definition is the same as version 1.2.1, with just a few new properties added in, so updating should be straightforward. If you installed QueueMetrics using yum, you can update it automatically through our yum repository.

- Bug fix: Asterisk will not log the full agent channel but only the agent code when agents are logged in/off via the manager.
- Locations are now computed without considering the current queue members
- Bug fix: a missing queue deinition in a composite queue could send the realtime page into a never ending loop.
- Explicit session timeout set in web.xml - easier for users to change as needed.
- QM is now able to correctly parse Asterisk@Home generated configuration files.
- Agent session sorting: the session details can be sorted freely by clicking on the title of the column
